Research Summary
Dr. Hu’s current research interests are in the development of new OCT imaging technology, as well as the medical and biological applications in using the endoscopic and bench top OCT imaging systems with the optimum designed catheter probe and scanner. Dr. Hu is originally from China where he received his Ph.D. in physics from Wuhan Institute of Physics and Mathematics at the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Since 1998, he has worked at Colorado State University and in the telecommunication industry in the fields of laser spectroscopy, lidar, optical remote sensing and optical communications in both free space and optical fiber. He joined the OCT group led by Dr. Rollins in the department of biomedical engineering at Case Western Reserve University in October of 2002.
