Research Summary
Xin hails from China. Her hometown is Xi'an, a city rich in Chinese history. She loves it very much. Xin graduated from Tianjin University in 1996 with her B.S degree in Opto-electronic engineering. After three years' work, she returned Tianjin University for graduate study in the same discipline. In 2001, she began attending Case Western Reserve University as a graduate student in Biomedical Engineering for her Ph. D study. Currently she has been working in Endoscopy Research Lab on computer aided diagnosis for detection of dysplasia in gastrointestinal tract by endoscopic optical coherence tomography. This is for the earlier GI cancer detection in human. Her research interests include endoscopic optical coherence tomography, early cancer detection, optical imaging technology, image processing . She enjoys swimming, jogging and some outside sports games. She also loves to travel.
