Research Summary
Christine Fleming is originally from the Bronx, NY. She graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in 2004. Christine’s main research interest is using Optical Coherence Tomography to aid studies of cardiac electrophysiology. This has led to two projects, imaging in real-time cardiac radiofrequency ablation and quantifying fiber orientation within intact hearts. Her project combines optical design, instrumentation and signal and image processing. Christine is also interested in light propagation modeling and how optical properties changes with diseases.
